Olivia is 1 1/2-2yrs old and about 45 pounds. Very friendly, playful and loving!!

From her foster:  Olivia is a VERY sweet girl! She walks right next to my husband or me every time we walk anywhere inside. She likes to kiss and wag her tail. She LOVES going outside. We did get toys for her, but so far she hasn’ t played with any. She is a very low maintenance dog. She is just happy sitting/laying/walking next to you, and giving/getting love.

Olivia is housebroken, BUT she is not vocal. We finally heard her bark tonight when we were walking her in our yard at night time. I was quite far away from her and my husband, and she didn’t recognize me in the dark so she barked a couple times until I called her name. Other than that we have only heard her make noise in her sleep.

Having said that please make sure that your foster or adopter knows that she does not indicate when she has to go outside with any vocal noise. We’ve figured out that when she gets up, and starts looking/sniffing around and looking at the doors specifically that she needs to go outside. She has been a champ with doing all of her business outside. This will mostly likely change when she is in her forever home.

Olivia doesn’t beg, or even watch us make food, and she doesn’t try to take anything from our hands, etc. Olivia knows sit, stay, and seems to know either shake or give me your paw…..she’ll try to give you her paw from time to time, and we are trying to figure out what verbal command she had been given for that action in the past.

Olivia does not seem to be crate trained, but we are working on it. She does resist going inside the crates, but she isn’t mean about it, she will merely lock her legs and refuse to walk inside. Once Olivia is in the cage, she is fine. She doesn’t cry/bark or get upset. She may stand for a few minutes, but after that she merely lies down. We put some cheese in her cage today, and she walked inside on her own. Also, we found that if she can’t see a dog bed or carpet to lie down on, she will walk into the cage on her own if it has blankets or a bed in it. Olivia does not like lying on a hard floor (neither would I).

Olivia is good with kids and other dogs, cats are unknown.
