Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal.

Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY. 

Jake was rescued from a shelter when he was a puppy by our parent rescue back in 2012. He was adorable and easily found a home. Unfortunately, over time Jake developed some aggression and resource guarding habits. His owners started to get worried about him harming the baby in the family, so he was surrendered back to LCAR.

Jake is the exact type of dog that the farm was made for. His resource guarding and allergies, that make his aggression worse, makes finding him a forever home basically impossible. So Jake will call the farm his home and he is fine with that. Jake loves his life here on the farm and he is well loved by our staff and volunteers!
