What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal.

Stevie was pulled from a local shelter with her sister, Jane. At just 10 months old, she was completely feral, having never been touched by humans, she was terrified and a little wild. The sisters were strays before they were taken to the shelter and were caught in trap cages. These little girls, who were basically babies still, then spent two horrifying months in that shelter - scared and cowering in a corner. Out of fear they would lash out at anyone who would try to touch them, the shelter staff could only handle them via a catch pole. Shelters are not equipped to care for dogs like Stevie and Jane, so they were put on the top of the euthanasia list. St Francis Farm staff couldn't let these sisters be put down, so we stepped in and offered them a home at the farm. It has taken some time, but Stevie has made some great progress and no longer lashes out, out of fear. She likes to keep her distance from people that she doesn't know, but we are equipped to handle dogs like Stevie here. While Stevie has come a long way, she still has a very long way to go to learn to trust humans, but we are willing to take the time she needs. She loves toys and playing with the other dogs.
