Originally joining our family from our parent rescue, Last Chance Animal Rescue, Colby's journey began in a southern shelter. With hopes of finding his forever home, he made the journey from the South to New York. However, it became evident that Colby's needs were far from traditional. His guarding instincts over those he held dear led to challenges, and his journey took yet another turn. After some unfortunate incidents, including a few bites and time spent in boarding, Colby's spirit began to wane. Recognizing that his unique needs required a different approach, we welcomed him to St. Francis Farm. Here, amidst a nurturing and understanding environment, Colby found the space to heal and thrive. Over time, Colby's transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. The connection he shares with his newfound friend, Hunter, is a testament to the bonds that can form between kindred spirits. Their unwavering companionship, the way they share their days and nights, has touched the hearts of everyone who witnesses it. Colby's journey at St. Francis Farm embodies our commitment to providing every soul with the chance to flourish. His story teaches us that the right environment and the right companionship can work wonders. Watching Colby and Hunter together is a heartwarming reminder that even those who have faced challenges can find a path to happiness and fulfillment.
