Oconee Humane Society was slammed with cats following the holidays. Upper respiratory infections were spreading like wildfire and the cats were running out of options. Unfortunately with such an overpopulation problem, the shelter has to euthanize in situations like this and the sickest often find themselves on the euthanasia lists first. We couldn't let these babies dies so our sanctuary, St. Francis Animal Sanctuary, opened up its (already packed) doors and welcomed in cats that needed some TLC. 

A shelter is no place for a mama and babies to be. Filled with tiny cages, too many cats, infection and disease, it is possibly the worst place to be. Mama JASMINE and her two little princesses BELLE & ARIEL needed out immediately. We weren't even supposed to take them the day we went to the shelter, but we couldn't think of leaving them behind. So we made the extra room in the car and got them the heck out of there. Jasmine is beyond sweet and gentle, happy to lounge next to you. One of the most laid-back mamas we've seen this year, she's got so much potential as a lap cat for the family that gives her a home. Belle & Ariel are your typical two kittens, happy and go-lucky. Innocent to everyone and everything that they meet, these gorgeous Southern gems are ready for any home! 

This baby is spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccinations, is FIV and FeLV/Feline Leukemia Negative, microchipped, and ready to find a soft spot to land and enjoy a family!
