Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal.

Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY. 

This big, beautiful guy is Harvey. He was adopted to a couple at the young age of 6 months. Unfortunately, we don't believe that they attempted training Harvey at all and instead when he started to develop resource guarding habits and some other aggressive tendencies, they posted him for sale on Craigslist...

Luckily, a responsible family found him and brought Harvey into their home. Harvey seemed to adore his family, but did not like strangers at all and would be aggressive towards anyone he didn't know. Over time this aggression got worse and eventually led to multiple bits to others, and then one to the face of his owner.

With Harvey being such a large dog, and not being able to find any trainers willing to work with him; the family set out to find Harvey a more suitable home. They came across St Francis Farm and we were luckily able to offer Harvey a new home here at the farm!

Harvey is starting to adjust well to the farm life and will likely call the farm his forever home now.  

Monthly sponsorship Angels will provide a steady stream of funds that ensures Harvey can live the rest of his days happy and healthy here at the farm. Funds will go directly to his care for food, medical treatments, safe housing, and the love and care of our wonderful staff.
