Fairfield County Animal Control and Adoption Center is an overcrowded facility packed to the max with cats. Tiny kittens have come to the shelter and are growing up behind the bars of the cage. Older cats are coming in and barely have a shot to be adopted. Nothing is moving. No one is being adopted. It is just one big stall. This is why we need to help these cats. 

when poor LANNA came to the shelter, she was obviously in a great amount of pain. Originally thought to have a mouth ulcer, the shelter was shocked to find this girl had a full blown mouth infection that had been there for quite some time. Her gums and teeth were wrecked and the only way to control the infection and stop the pain as quickly as possible was to extract ALL of her teeth :( with all her teeth extracted, the shelter began to see a whole different kind of cat. One who was loving, extremely affectionate, loved being held and was eager to meet any new person! She has done a 360, all because she is no longer in pain! The only thing this kitty cat requires is wet food. Otherwise she is healthy, happy and no longer suffering. She is great with other cats, would be fine with cat-savvy dogs and is great with children. She requires no further treatment, and has adjusted well to life without teeth. It just makes her a bit more unique and certainly more special to us. This is a girl that we absolutely want to see find a forever family that will love her with every ounce of their heart! 

She  is ready to find her forever home.  She is spayed, FIV/LEUK negative, UTD on vaccines for her age, dewormed, and microchipped.
