Dean is a 10-month-old, 15-pound Dachshund mix who came to the shelter as a stray and is still adjusting to the noisy, unfamiliar environment. Timid in his kennel, he tends to sit quietly toward the back, but once he's leashed up and out on a walk, he becomes much more outgoing and affectionate, sticking close to his handler for comfort. Dean is good with people, quick to warm up, and did well in his dog test—staying calm and neutral around other pups. He’s crate trained, keeps his space clean, and would thrive in a quieter home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace.
