What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal.

Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY. 

NEMO is a handsome 8-10 week old Shepherd mix pup.  He weighs about 10 lbs and is expected to grow to about 40 lbs.  He is a playful little boy and is very excited for a family of his very own.  He was rescued when he and his 2 siblings were orphaned when there mother passed away.  Mom was a shepherd mix.  They were so small and needing special care.  LCAR took them into our sanctuary and provided them with milk replacement and extra TLC so they could grow enough to be adopted. Will you consider making him a part of your family?

At the time of adoption a donation of $250 (dogs over 6 months) and $350 (dogs 6 months and under) is requested before the animal is placed in a new home.
