She was the dog that broke headlines, the one that so many of you help save with your donations and now she's looking for her own home. Meet FRANCIS and boy, her story is one for the books. LCAR caught wind of a dog located at the NY-ACC about to be euthanized. She was heavily pregnant and without our efforts, 11 would've died that day. We were able to secure release of Frannie, but they wanted to spay her prior to release, meaning all her puppies would've died. LCAR stepped  up their game, made a lot of noise, and the next thing we knew, Frannie was on her freedom ride to be fostered. Just 4 days later with the help of her foster Dr. and Mrs. Molnar (LCAR's own veterinarian), Frannie gave birth to 10(!) precious puppies. She was an amazing mother, affectionate to all 10 rambunctious rascals. Today, all of her puppies have found their forever homes and now she anxiously awaits her own. She is about 1 year old, a pointer/collie mix, great with kids, cats & dogs, and just about the biggest mush you will ever meet. She has so much love to give and would love to give it to you!

At the time of adoption a donation of $250 (dogs over 6 months) and $350 (dogs 6 months and under) is requested before the animal is placed in a new home.
