What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. BESSIE has a doozy of a story to tell. Over 4 months ago, she was sitting in a high kill shelter with six newborn pups. Scared and vulnerable, LCAR caught wind of this gal and moved in to save her and the pups as we never leave a mother behind. She resided at the sanctuary until her and the pups were ready for their big move to NY. For months, Bessie has resided with an amazing foster who has done nothing but miracles for our girl and her pups. Our mama girl came to us skinny as a stick, heartworm positive and with an old leg injury that had never been repaired. Today, all of her puppies have found their home, Bess is heartworm negative and her leg has been repaired. She has finally reached a healthy weight; through all this, the smile never left our girl's face. She's been an absolute trooper through it all and deserves an amazing home that will shower her with love- could you be it? 

At the time of adoption a donation of $250 (dogs over 6 months) and $350 (dogs 6 months and under) is requested before the animal is placed in a new home.
